I work with clients to create intuitive, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing digital wayfinding solutions without compromising accessibility. I collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and optimize the user experience for room-to-room, indoor-to-outdoor, and building-to-building navigation. My clients ranged from schools to large shopping malls, and even some sports arenas.
As a UX designer on a small team, I collaborated closely with clients to meticulously craft digital wayfinding solutions tailored to their needs. I took charge of developing solutions that met client expectations while ensuring accessibility was never compromised. Working with clients from diverse fields presented unique challenges, as their target audiences varied from confused mall-goers to technical users reserving meeting rooms. Before beginning the design process, I created personas based on the demographics of the location. For example, a sports arena would cater to users of all ages, given its family-oriented activities. Once personas were established, I moved on to creating static wireframes. After receiving client approval, I made the wireframes interactive and progressively enhanced their fidelity from low to high, incorporating color, copy, and images. I ensured my designs adhered to clients' brand guidelines, ensuring everything looked and felt cohesive within the environment. Upon approval of the high-fidelity prototype, I collaborated with the development team to ensure a seamless translation from Figma to live code, addressing any questions the developers had. Once the code was live, I worked with the client to ensure everything looked good and that they were prepared to launch at their wayfinding locations.
